Virtual EDS Information and Evaluation Service

Dr. Wilson continues to offer a virtual EDS Information Service that includes:

Provision of a 10-page EDS information handout that includes approaches to suspecting and diagnosing EDS along with an outline of key EDS therapies.

  • Self-assessment forms that include checklists for 80 history and 40 history findings that occur frequently in Dr. Wilson’s 2000+ EDS patients. An additional family-natural history form outlines the onset and course of severe symptoms and documents EDS symptoms in family members.
  • Individuals can assess their likelihood of an EDS diagnosis by comparing their numbers of positive history and physical findings to those of 1046 females (average 34 of 80 history, 19 of 40 physical) or 197 males (average 24 and 17). Because diagnosis of patients under 10 was difficult based on their prevalent hypermobility and lack of age-related joint-dysautonomia findings, a graph of finding numbers for EDS females and males over 10 having these email evaluations allows people to determine their percentile ranking for EDS findings as they would for height/weight.

  • Those who would find it helpful can return their filled-out forms to Dr. Wilson and receive a personalized summary letter that they can take to their physician. This letter provides EDS information and how the patient compares to others with EDS but relies on the appropriate health professional to make a diagnosis

  • DNA interpretation is included in the summary letter if you've completed DNA testing, an addendum provided at no extra cost if testing is performed in the future.

EDS summary letter provided by email exchange: Cost: $100 USD:  includes review of history-physical findings and a written summary letter you can share with medical providers so they can make an EDS diagnosis.
Payment is made by mailing a check to Dr. Golder Wilson, 5347 W Mockingbird, Dallas TX 75209

Note: This is an educational and informational service only and does not establish a physician-patient relationship or provide a formal diagnosis.

Video/Telemedicine Coming Soon

Dr. Wilson continues to provide information and patient evaluation by email but video/telemedicine evaluations may soon be offered in conjunction with the subscription service of patient advocate  and care coordination medical services with Christie Cox and APN Katie Volkers.  See the partners pages on the home page to contact them directly to arrange these evaluations.

Dr. Wilson recommends an initial patient advocacy intake call to determine health priorities and then follow-on care with APRN Katie Volkers.
